Isn't it time you did something for yourself for a change? In the fast paced and highly demanding society that we live in today sometimes simply getting through the day can feel like a struggle. If you have ever experienced this overwhelming feeling rest assured that you are not alone and that help is available. My mission as a professional counselor is to assist my clients in progressing and attaining their own personal goals. My approach is client-centered which means that I won't ask you to say or do anything that doesn't feel right to you.
I am trained to practice EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization/Reprocessing therapy) which is one of the most effective forms of treatment for trauma. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which can assist someone in changing their negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Also, I personally incorporate a Trauma-Informed Care approach when working with all clients and this is the "lens" through which I treat my patients.
I have been given the ability to experience the ever changing nature of this profession. My experience has permitted me to witness a wide variety of different theoretical approaches and eclectic interventions. I have seen what works and is beneficial to clients in therapy, and what fails. I am also available to provide clinical supervision.

Would you rather have a rewind button or a pause button on your life? Realistically we know that neither of these are real choices, but would you rather have a better understanding of yourself and why you do the things you do? Maybe learn to stress less, or manage more things in your daily life. I’m here to help. We all deal with a lot of things, but we do not have to do it alone.
I have worked with a variety of populations from young children to adults in a variety of settings including residential and outpatient services in both mental health and addictions. My experience provides me the basis and opportunity to work with you, utilizing an eclectic approach that begins with trauma focused and person centered therapy . Person centered means we focus on what you want to work on. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge negative thoughts and reevaluate personal beliefs that are no longer benefiting you.
I’m a Certified Trauma Professional and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which is recognized as one of the most effective forms of therapy to treat trauma.
